Unfortunately, we cannot grow peonies in our yard in NC because the deer will eat them.  We had beautiful peony bushes when we lived in Bethesda, MD and they were always beautiful and had a wonderful fragrance.  This variety with the deep pink color against the dark green just had to be made into a painting.
